The event is hosted by Sydney-based singer/songwriter The Violet Bard, who will also open the show. Born and raised in Tamworth, the Violet Bard has been performing between QLD and NSW for the last 10 years but considers herself a Sydney local. Through writing her own music and songs, she has crafted her own unique style that she calls Faerie Folk. An avid lover of old myths and tales, the Violet Bard mixes in elements of lyrical storytelling to take the listener on a journey through the music. She is currently recording her first album Into The Woods with Diego Llisebir.
Ben Walker is a singer songwriter who thrives on making music to fully immerse himself in the challenges, sorrow and joy that surround us every day. Following on from the success of 3 songs released in 2020, Ben released “Castles” the first track from his new 5 track EP “Time to Go”, inOctober 2021–gaining play across a wide range of stations including Tamworth’s 2TM and 92.9FM,Australian Country Radio, Good Morning Country and the ABC. “Time to Go” was released as a single and EP in early 2022 gaining similar wide-ranging play. After taking his music to a Sydney audience,Ben headed to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in April playing 10 shows, generating an excellent response–returning again recently for “HatsOff”. He is now balancing writing new material with regular performance both around Sydney and further afield.
Diego is a prolific Singer & Songwriter who performs live as a solo act, in a duo or with a band. Diego creates music and songs in both English and Spanish and in a mix of different easy listening styles.His style has been described as “Smooth Soul with a twist of Latin”. His songs convey ideas and feelings of renewal, romance and fantasy. He is currently performing selections from his over one hundred beautiful original songs in English, which will be released soon in a lyrics book called “Songs for Kings & Sparrows”.
A flamin' haired country-rocker who's Southern in spirit but not yet in zip code, Lucie Tiger’s music blends truth with hope along with buried treasure in her lyrics for those searching out Lucie's inspirations. They're classic country-rock with a modern voice, coloured with a hefty dose of good old Americana charm and subtle hallmarks of the Blues. A respected songwriter, 'Gasoline' won Country Blues Song of the Year 2021 at the Tamworth Songwriters Awards and two songs are short-listed in the Australian Songwriting Awards 2022. Lucie’s been industry-nominated twice for the Rudy Brandsma Award for Songwriting Excellence.
