Our second 2120 Music Songwriters Session for 2023 was great! We only had two singer-songwriters as the Silverline had to pull out due to personal reasons but our songwriters on the night made it really special. Plus, we also had a surprise appearance from Ferdi the possum. 

Abigail Wighton delivered her authentic, captivating songs - which are lovely, lyrical and warmly personal - in a way that never fails to delight the audience. Lucie Tiger filled out the first half of the evening with her original songs that hook in the audience as she takes them on her journeys through America and her experiences on the road. 

We missed hosting the Silverline but instead, we had the cutest appearance by Ferdi the resident possum. Ferdi inspected the audience from the roof of the outdoor garden and then happily ate strawberries delivered by hand by Lucie, who has befriended the possum during her many gigs at Sappho's. This created quite the photo opportunity for the Dutch and Canadian tourists and locals in the audience.

It was a great night, and the audience was incredibly generous and appreciative! We are forever thankful to Sappho's Bar for supporting live music. Our next Songwriter Session is on Thursday 9th March.
