There's nothing quite like recording in a legendary studio in Muscle Shoals with talented musicians who leave their egos at the door and collaborate with the key aim of creating great songs.
They say there's magic in the ‘singing river’ at the Shoals and that magic seems to flow through to recording in Muscle Shoals. Musicians come togther in the studio, listen to the songwriter's song, and then work out the charts together. Recording a track often only needs a couple of takes because everyone is on the same page and really good at what they do. Kelvin Holly (legendary session guitarist who also toured with the Amazing Rhythm Aces and Little Richard) describes it best in this video on YouTube.
