We are delighted to assist Andy Penkow with publicity for his new single '1993' to the community radio sector in Australia. For Andy, '1993', is another glimpse into his personal life, taking us back to when he was growing up on the NSW South Coast. “We had this old willow tree between our house and the neighbours’ house and I remember how all the kids in the neighbourhood would get together, climbing that tree and playing”, says Andy. 

“Often we’d talk about what we wanted to be when we grew up. For me, it was always a musician. It got me thinking about the bands I played in as a kid and how we all had stars in our eyes but most of my friends have now gone down a different path than me”. 

When writing the song, Andy enlisted the help of one of Australia’s most respected and awarded songwriters, Allan Caswell. “Allan called in for a songwriting session and I asked him to help me with '1993' and also the title track from my new album. What an honour to write with Allan – the man’s a genius!” 

'1993' is available from all digital platforms from Friday 28th January 2022 via MGM Distribution. 

Andy Penkow’s forthcoming album, “Love, Lies & Dirty Dishes”, is slated for release in the second half of 2022. “It’s my most personal and honest work yet, and I’m really proud of the record”, says Andy.
