Lucie Tiger O'Connor was a Finalist in the 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards presented by MusicOz in Sydney. Of the three songs selected as Finalists, all were solo-written by Lucie and recorded at the Brain Recording Studio (Tiger & The Rogues), Sydney, with Philip Bombala: Cicero Blues, In My Car, and Troublemaker. The Awards event was held at the Enmore Theatre on October 26, 2016, and Lucie didn't attend as she was on vacation in Hawaii. Several people that Lucie came to know well from the Sydney music scene were also Finalists including The Jay Seeney Band.
Tiger & The Rogues - 2012 to 2015
Lucie founded Tiger & The Rogues in March 2012 after taking a short hiatus from songwriting and performing when her college band The Still Bandits broke up in late 2011. Tiger & The Rogues kept her fully occupied with songwriting, performing and logistics for the band until she went solo in April 2015. Tiger & the Rogues featured a few changes in its lineup in its early years but the final band lineup comprised Lucie (rhythm guitar & vocals), Ed Pearson (drums), Nathan Clinen (bass guitar) and Amos Branch (lead guitar). The band took a hiatus when Nathan Clinen, who was a civil engineer, accepted a promotion in another state and Amos Branch became too busy with his PhD research.
